ONE THIRD OF THE WAY!!
Ok -so the Freemans have a tradition of asking "what were your top fives?" whenever anyone returns from a holiday. We figured it was a good idea to do 'progress top fives' because otherwise some really cool things will be knocked off the list by the end -given we are away for just over three months. There seems to be no particular rule as to what can constitute a top five event... can be a day, an activity or even generally a city. For this reason -here are our top fives (in no particular order) for the first third of the trip. Shona * Brooklyn day (Bridge, Coney Island and BBQ at Ted and Dolan's) * Stockholm Archipelago * Tagg's Island (tea on the Thames) * Copenhagen Zoo day * The Friday with Mindy and Tim in New York (Ground Zero, Yankees, Pizza and shopping). Michael * Yankees * Archipelago * Haggis tour * Day in Edinburgh * Vaza. Hopefully (in a funny way) all those things get bumped off the list in another 32 days!

ReplyDeleteGreat to be reading along about your travels ... and nice to see the BBQ with Ted and Dolan makes the top five. That was a great day ... topped off by the amazing lightshow(s)! The fireflies have finished for the season now ... replaced by ciccadas - flying maraccas as Ted describes them. Quite an aural treat.
