All roads lead to (28th September)

Rome -ours goes via Ancona which is apparently isn't very interesting, but is a port where it's easy to make side boat trips. We don't get off the bus and as such it's a pretty uneventful travel day. When we get into Plus Roma we're glad to find that the quality of accommodation is significantly higher than in Plus Venice. We thought that we'd had the last dealings with them, however we realise that we've left our cellphone and headlamp under Shona's pillow (we've been using the phone as an alarm). Sadly we are forced to call them to get it back, but it is not in their lost and found. In typical Italian style, we're to call back tomorrow after 9am so that they can check with housekeeping. We have to be at the Vatican at 10am tomorrow morning so fall asleep thinking to ourselves, wake up early!
